Department of Computer Science
University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
I graduated with a Bachelors of Techology in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology at Kharagpur in 2002. I received a Master of Sceince in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2005. I completed my PhD. in Computer Science in 2008 from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Research:
I am interested in various aspects of parallel computing, ranging from fault tolerance, fast interconnects to different programming paradigms. My phD thesis was on developing a fault tolerance protocol with fast recovery on the Charm++ runtime system. I have recently worked on porting Charm++ to the native Infiniband layer and exploiting the RDMA capabilities of Infiniband to speed up Charm applications. I have in the past worked on developing large parallel applications and frameworks Changa, ParFUM .
