Celso L. Mendes
Department of Computer Science
University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
I'm a Research Scientist working with the
PPL research group,
lead by Prof.Kale. I received the degrees of Electronics
Engineer and Master in Engineering from
ITA,
Brazil, in 1980 and 1988 respectively, and a PhD in Computer Science
from the University of Illinois,
in 1997. Between 1982 and 2000, I worked as an Engineer at
INPE, a research institute of the
brazilian space agency.
Research:
My research interests are centered in the area of High Performance
Computing. The focus of my work in the last few years has been
performance analysis of sequential and parallel systems. More recently,
I have also been involved in specific research targeting the use of
Grids as high performance, heterogeneous computing engines.
