Fang recieved her B.S. in Urban and Environmental Science from Peking University, China, 1997. She is a master student in the Department of Computer Science after transferring from the Department of Urban and Regional Planning, UIUC, where her major was geographic information systems. Her supervisor was Professor Zorica Nedovic-Budic. Fang was a recipient of the University Fellowship and the DURP Fellowship, UIUC, 1997-1998.

Research Interests:

Communication networks, developement of web-based applications, multimedia database systems. Well, she is being "force fed" parallel programming this summer under the direction of Professor Laxmikant V. Kale. Her another major responsibility is web design for PPL.
