Orion's Photos: places - WashingtonDC - tour_2002

We spent a few hours in Washington, DC on this sunny Monday afternoon, November 18, 2002. We took two cars and parked in the suburbs (both independently receiving a parking ticket due to the absurd regulations in the "B" lot), took the Metrorail to the central station, then swung past the White House, Washington Monument, and Lincoln Memorial before returning a scant few hours later.

Present were (dscf0053, left-to-right) Chao Huang, Gengbin Zheng, Gunavardhan Kakulapati, Mani Potnuru, Rashmi Jyothi, and Sindhura Bandhakavi and (not pictured) Orion Lawlor, all of the Parallel Programming Lab of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
