Celso L. MendesDepartment of Computer ScienceUniversity of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign I'm a Research Scientist working with the PPL research group, lead by Prof.Kale. I received the degrees of Electronics Engineer and Master in Engineering from ITA, Brazil, in 1980 and 1988 respectively, and a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Illinois, in 1997. Between 1982 and 2000, I worked as an Engineer at INPE, a research institute of the brazilian space agency. Research:My research interests are centered in the area of High Performance Computing. The focus of my work in the last few years has been performance analysis of sequential and parallel systems.
